This morning, I suddenly find that one of my website disappeared from google search engine. Actually I don’t know when it happened. I have not paid any attention on this website because its traffic is low. There are several reason for low traffic. From google analytics, I can find some organic search from search engine like Bing and Yahoo, but not google. The problem here I mentioned is not low traffic, but there is no traffic at all from google search. Hence, I am doing several testing about my website on google search.
My website is connection-kit.com. It is registered 3 years ago. My website was added to google webmaster tools at that time. The last article I was posted is at July 23, 2013. I have checked in my webmaster tools, Google still crawls on my website every day, and all my pages are still indexed. The following two diagram shows you the last 3 months Google webmaster states.
Now let’s talk about the traffic. The traffic is also low when it was started at 2011. After that, I didn’t spend much time on it. The traffic dropped significantly twice in October 2011 and January 2012. After that time, all traffic are almost coming bing, yahoo and other refer website.
First of all, my website is not deindexed by google. When I search my website by domain name “connection-kit.com” in google. It will show my website link in first rank. If I search my website by “site:connection-kit.com”, it will show all indexed pages in the result. If I search a sentence from my article, I cannot find my website in the first 3 page results. If I search the same sentence in Bing or Yahoo, my site will be listed in first slot.
I am afraid my website is penalized. I am not sure, because I stop doing any SEO tricks for a long time. I have tried to file a reinclusion request via Google Webmaster Tools. Google gave me the answer email said my website is fine, no manual spam action needed. Therefore, I really don’t know what happened on my website. I guess my website is flagged by Google, so it will ignore my website from its search result.
But still, I have to take some actions to bring my website back in google search result. Otherwise, I will give up this website. The first idea is adding more articles. But I think that is not useful, because I have another old website which I have never updated for a long time. It is still listed in google search result. And if my website is flagged by Google (I guess), no matter how many articles I add, all of them will be flagged as well. To verify my guess, I will copy one article from flagged website to a new website, without any changes. Before doing so, I will delete all ref links from the old site, in case the marked website will affect other websites via these links.
If the article in new website can be ranked, I will erase all content from my old website, and move them to a new site. If the article cannot be ranked on google search result, it seems to be the time for me to give up the whole site. One question is remained. For the second result, what will happen if I delete the whole content from my old website and build a new site with new structure and new content with the same domain name? Let’s try.
This was taken off Google ages ago due to low visits – I’m not sure if a fee goes wit it – anyway I’d like to try & get it back on again
